MPL2.COM was Puget Sound’s largest integrated online solutions firm and merged with Saltmine Creative in March 2000. Before acquiring VistaIS (see below) in May 1999, the Online Solutions Division had a run-rate of $500K, which we increased to over $13M by March 2000 via organic and acquired growth. Reporting directly to CEO, developed and managed practice unit of 25 professionals focusing entirely on Microsoft e-business projects. Responsibilities consisted of approx. 50% business development, 25% organizational development, and 25% practice management.

·         Developed strategic business plan and sales strategies. Tripled revenues within first 4 months, establishing a practice unit run-rate of $4M+ with 75% utilization.

·         Designed and developed a cross-functional organizational structure, consisting of direct and “dotted-line” reports for optimal scalability and sharing of best practices.

Vista Internet Solutions (VistaIS) was a wholly owned subsidiary of Raima Corporation, since its acquisition in November 1996.  Built the VistaIS line-of business and managed all organizational development, sales/marketing activities, financial/operational metrics, strategic direction, and corporate development.

·         Increased revenues 1000% through sales/marketing programs and alliances, while maintaining 80% utilization, 45% margins, and EBITDA of 25-30%.

·         Built a cross-functional organizational structure consisting of graphic design, interface design, application development, editorial, and project management.

·         Successfully positioned VistaIS as M&A target within consolidating market space and negotiated sale of business unit to MPL2.COM.

Raima, now part of Centura Software, developed and licensed embedded database technology to software companies, device manufacturers, and developers of real-time systems.
